Approximately a month ago I was sitting in the parlor of FF&G New Orleans with PS Fairman discussing all manner of things: our thoughts, dreams, and fears, and as he reclined across our sage green vintage couch, he mused that it would be grand if someday we could let the good people of New Orleans lay on that very couch and tell us their problems. It was from that conversation that our Unlicensed Therapy services were born.
We now offer half hour long sessions of advice (and a couch to recline on) in the back salon of FF&G, and are working feverishly to finish our “wheel of misfortune” choose-your-own complex table for those who are so ripe with issues that they don’t know where to start.
We’re so enthusiastic about this new program that we even created an infomercial:
So don’t bother calling your mom this Wednesday – come by FF&G New Orleans from 5:00-7:00 and tell us about what stresses you out.*
*We are completely unqualified to address serious problems and will not be speaking about matters of serious abuse, addiction, eating disorders, or suicidal ideation. If you or someone you know is affected by these issues please seek assistance from a mental health professional.
